ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's volleyball senior middle hitter Trenton Munk (Baden, PA/Ambridge) has been named the United Volleyball Conference (UVC) and Division III ECAC South Region Player of the Week, announced on Monday.
Munk hit .462 in four matches for the week for the Lions (4-7). He tallied 48 kills on 91 attempts with just six errors. He was perfect against Thiel (13-0-19) and tallied a team-best 16 kills at Wilson. He averaged 2.82 kills per set and .24 digs per set, while also adding 20 blocks.
Munk ranks fourth in career kills (627) and needs 52 to break the all-time record of 678. He also is ranked sixth in the UVC in hitting percentage through 11 matches (.371).
Behrend returns to action on Thursday against D'Youville. Match begins at 7 p.m.
