Men's Volleyball Heads to Cairn for Tri-Match

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team will compete in a tri-match on Saturday in non-conference action at Cairn.

Behrend News & Notes:

* Behrend will be competing against Cairn and St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) on Saturday
* The Lions are coming off a win to Mt. Union with a 3-0 sweep for their first win of the season
* Behrend beat the Raiders by more than 11 points in each set
* Behrend tallied 15 aces in the three-set match
* Sophomore JP Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) led the team with eight kills
* Senior Anthony Sprentz (Cranberry Townshi, PA/Seneca Valley) finished with eight digs and 16 assists
* Sprentz is only 17 assists away from reaching 2,000 career assists

* Cairn is starting off the season with a 0-1 record, having lost to Eastern University on Wednesday
* The Highlanders were swept 0-3 in the match
* Junior Ben Norton led the attack with six kills
* Cairn ended last season with a record of 11-17

St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) News & Notes:

* St. Joseph's is 0-2 on the season with loses to Eastern Nazarene and Baruch
* The Bears most recently lost to Baruch getting swept 0-3
* Senior Tim Dricoll paced the team with six kills along with one ace and four digs
