ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team split a pair of non-conference matches in their home opener on Saturday. The Lions defeated Adrian 3-0 and then fell to St. John Fisher, 3-0.

Match One: Penn State Behrend 3, Adrian 0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-17)
Records: Penn State Behrend (4-3), Adrian (5-4)

Key Moments:

* Senior libero Robert McMaster (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) tallied 12 digs to become the program's all-time leader in digs
* McMaster only needed four to break Derek Polishen's '15 record at 606
* Junior outside hitter Dillon Hildebrand (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion) posted his fifth straight game with double-digit digs
* Hildebrand hit a season-high .457 with 19 kills on 35 attempts
* Senior Anthony Sprentz (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) led with 35 assists and nine digs
* In the first set, the Lions got a pair of kills by Hildebrand down the stretch to hold off the Bulldogs 25-20
* Behrend held a five-point lead in the second set and managed a 25-21 victory to take a 2-0 lead in the match
* The Lions then hit. 433 as a team with 15 kills and only two errors in the third to sweep Adrian
* Senior outside hitter Tyler Herrmann (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) added nine kills and nine digs

Match Two: St. John Fisher 3, Penn State Behrend 0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-22)
Records: Penn State Behrend (4-4), St. John Fisher (8-3)

* Hildebrand led the attack with 11 kills while Herrmann recorded seven kills and seven digs
* McMaster added 12 more digs to finish with 24 on the day
* Behrend matched a season-low five kills in the second set (25-14)
* The win is the second straight for St. John Fisher over the Lions in a week
* Behrend rallied from a seven-point deficit in the third set to pull within two
* The Cardinals held a 14-7 blocking advantage in the match
* Sprentz finished with 17 assists to give him 52 for the pair of matches
