ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team won two crucial Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) matches on Saturday afternoon. The Lions defeated Geneva 3-2 and then swept Hiram, 3-0.

Match One: Penn State Behrend 3, Geneva 2 (25-18, 18-25, 23-25, 25-22, 23-21)
Records: Penn State Behrend (15-11, 7-5 AMCC), Geneva (19-8, 10-3 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* The Lions avenged a 3-2 loss to the Golden Tornadoes earlier this season with a five-set win today
* Behrend a team-best 18 kills in the first set to take a 1-0 lead in the match with a 25-18 win
* After falling in the next two sets, the Lions never trailed in the fourth to knot the match at 2-all
* The final set was tied nine times before determining a winner in extra points
* Colin Dedert (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) knocked down his 13th kill before Hildebrand added two for a 21-all fifth set
* Behrend took advantage of a pair of attack errors with the final resulting in a block by Tyler Herrmann (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley), JP Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) and Joey Reynolds (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) for the win
* Senior Anthony Sprentz (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) registered his third double-double of the season with 46 assists and 11 digs
* The Lions had four players with double-digit kills for a season-high 67 kills in the match
* Junior Dillon Hildebrand (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion) knocked down 18, while Goodsel added 15 kills and eight blocks
* Freshman Cody Schnur (Butler, PA/Butler) tallied 11 kills and matched a season-best seven blocks

Match Two: Penn State Behrend 3, Hiram (25-23, 25-13, 25-22)
Records: Penn State Behrend (16-11, 8-5 AMCC), Hiram (7-23, 3-11 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* Behrend hit .319 in the match to complete the season sweep of the Terriers
* Hildebrand added 12 more kills on the day for an even 30 in two matches while adding five aces
* Josh Mathews (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) finished with 12 assists and six digs
* Herrmann added nine digs and eight kills in the win
* Dedert managed to register a kill late in the first set and third set to help the Lions get to match point and eventually win the set and match
* Cody Geis (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) tallied five blocks and five digs
