ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball swept Penn State Altoona and Hiram in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) tri-match on Saturday in the Junker Center. 

Match One: 
Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Penn State Altoona 0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-19) 
Records: Penn State Behrend (12-5, 6-1 AMCC), Penn State Altoona (8-7, 5-2 AMCC) 

Key Moments: 
 
* The Behrend Lions had a season-high 20 kills in the first set to get ahead on Altoona 
* The Lions trailed in the second set 20-17 but finished on an 8-3 run with a Matt Sandford (Erie, PA/McDowell) block at the end for a 25-23 
* Behrend had 15 kills in the third set and secured the sweep with a Cody Schnur (Butler, PA/Butler) kill 
* JP Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) led with 14 kills and nine digs 
* Owen Wienczkowski (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) posted a .647 hitting percentage behind 11 kills 
* John Cageao (Beaver, PA/Lincoln Park Performing Arts) led with 12 digs and added seven kills  
* Diego Ortiz (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Wesleyan Academy) provided 28 assists on 47 kills  

Match Two: 
Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Hiram 0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-16) 
Records: Penn State Behrend (13-5, 7-1 AMCC), Hiram (11-6, 5-3 AMCC)  

Key Moments: 

* The Behrend Lions moved into sole possession of first place in the AMCC with a 3-0 win over AMCC defending champions Hiram 
* Goodsel almost hit 30 kills on the day, finishing one short with 15 kills and eight digs in the second match 
* Wienczkowski tallied four blocks and four kills, while Ortiz had 16 assists and five digs 
Adrian Martinez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Wesleyan Academy) had double-digit digs with 11 
* The Lions limited Hiram to four kills in the first set for a quick 25-13 victory 
* Behrend forced the Terriers to commit 11 attack errors, never trailing and completing a 5-0 run with a Goodsel kill at 25-20 
* In the final set, Dylan Buzalka (Carlisle, PA/Cumberland Valley) got three straight kills for the 25-16 win
