ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team advances to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship match with a 3-1 win over No. 4 Penn State Altoona in the semifinals on Friday night in the Junker Center.

* JP Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) and Diego Ortiz (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Wesleyan Academy) each posted a double-double in the win
* Goodsel led with 16 kills and 12 digs, while Ortiz handed out 25 assists with 12 digs
* Behrend won the first two sets 25-21 and 25-20, respectively
* The Lions rallied from a six-point deficit in the first set
* Behrend went on a 12-2 run to take a 1-0 lead in the match, closing on a pair of kills from Goodsel and a service ace by Ortiz
* In a close second set, the Lions won seven of the last nine points to pull out a 25-20 victory
* Altoona managed a 25-19 third-set victory behind kills from Connor Ebersole and Trey Sadler down the stretch

* Goodsel knocked down five kills in the final set and Cody Schnur (Butler, PA/Butler) got the final point with his 10th kill of the night
* Schnur hit .450 and added five digs and two blocks
* Owen Wienczkowski (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) had a second-best 14 kills and a team-high six blocks
* Adrian Martinez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Wesleyan Academy) had a team-best 15 digs and tied a season-high with five assists
