Men’s Water Polo Earns First Win of 2018

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team played three matches on Saturday in the Connecticut College Invite.  PSB topped Connecticut College in the first game of the day, earning its first win of 2018.

Penn State Behrend 12, Connecticut College 10

* Collin Holmes (Lake Forest, CA/El Toro) and Isaak Hatopp (Saline, MI/Saline) led the offensive efforts with four goals each.
* Austin Hoff (Lake Forest, CA/El Toro) added three goals, two steals, and two assists.
* Joshua Koornneef (Grand Haven, MI/Grand Haven) chipped in four assists and drew two kickouts.  Greg Kinzler (Kiski, PA/Agora Charter Cyber School) added three steals and two assists.
* Goalie Matt Olimski (San Diego, CA/Otay Ranch) tallied eight saves and three steals.

Cal Lutheran 16, Penn State Behrend 4

* Matt Olimski made 11 saves against Cal Lutheran.
* Kyle Frerichs (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge) tallied three steals.
* Collin Holmes scored twice and Isaak Hatopp and Greg Kinzler added one goal apiece. 

MIT 16, Penn State Behrend 6

* Matt Olimski tallied seven saves and Alijah Santagelo (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) chipped in with five saves.
* Austin Hoff led the Behrend offense against MIT with two goals.
* Isaak Hatopp, Dario Gonzalez (Hanford, CA/Hanford West), Collin Holmes and Tristan Ascanio (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) each scored one goal.
