ERIE, Pa. – Men's water polo player Matt Olimski (San Diego, CA/Otay Ranch HS) has been named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week, announced Monday.
Junior goalie Olimski accumulated 53 saves and two steals over three games this past weekend. He collected a 2019 MPSF-high 24 saves in the 12-11 win over Iona. This win marked the first time Behrend defeated a Division-I team in the history of the program. He tallied another 24 saves in the overtime loss to Mercyhurst and five more in shared time against Gannon. Olimski is the first ever Behrend MPSF Player of the Week.
Behrend is back in action when they matchup against Washington & Jefferson on Saturday at the Division III Eastern Championships. Game time is set for 10 a.m.
