ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team will travel to Bridgeville, PA to compete in the Division III Eastern Championships this weekend at Chartiers Valley High School hosted by Washington & Jefferson.

* Behrend hosted the Erie Weekend Invite last weekend, going 1-2
* The Lions beat Iona for the first time in program history, winning 12-11
* This is the first time Behrend has taken down a Division-I team
* Matt Olimski (San Diego, CA/Otay Ranch) had 53 saves on the weekend, including 24 against the Gaels, registering a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) 2019 record high
* Olimski was named the (MPSF) Player of the Week for his effort
* Isaak Hatopp (Saline, MI/Saline) led the Lions with seven goals over the weekend including the game winner in the final minutes against Iona
