Lions Score Season-High Despite Loss to Golden Knights

ERIE, Pa. – The Behrend men's water polo team hosted the Gannon Golden Knights in the Junker Center Friday night. The battle between the two resulted in a 21-14 loss for the Lions.

Key Moments:
* Prior to the game, Behrend honored their lone senior, Dario Gonzalez (Hanford, CA/Hanford West)
* Gannon opened the scoring just a minute into the contest
* The Golden Knights went on a streak of scoring to extend the lead to 8-2
* Gonzalez would receive a penalty shot with 30 seconds remaining in the first half and beat the Gannon goalie to trim the deficit to 15-8 and finished the game with two goals
* Behrend and Gannon both scored six goals through the final two frames
* The 14-goal effort was the highest total the Lions have achieved in a single game this season
* Ryan Carpico (Skippack, PA/Perkiomen), Eugene Kruger (Alpharetta, GA/Foothill) and Ryan Kenney (Skippack, PA/Perkiomen Valley) led the Lions with three goals each
