Anderson, Friedman Named MPSF Athletes of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's water polo junior Eli Anderson (Encinitas, CA/San Dieguito) and freshman Ethan Friedman (Valley Center, PA/Valley Center) have been named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) East/Delfina Players of the Week.

Anderson is earning this honor for the first time in his career. He registered five goals, three drawn exclusions, two assists, one steal, and one field block through three games. Anderson and the Lions competed against Division-I 14th-ranked Harvard, MIT, and Gannon.

Friedman, the Newcomer of the Week, played six quarters in the cage at the Harvard Invitational and collected 12 saves and five steals. The freshman ranks seventh in the MPSF with 4.56 saves per game.

The Lions are back in action this weekend at the Division III Eastern Championships held at the Cathedral Prep Events Center. The No. 7 Behrend Lions take on No. 2 Johns Hopkins Saturday morning.
