Men’s Cross Country Results

The Penn State Behrend men’s cross country team ran at the Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday morning.

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team ran at the Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday morning.

Denis Lydon (Plum, PA/Plum) continued to have an excellent season with a top-100 finish. Lydon took 78^th place with a time of 25:49.60. Michael Smolinski (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) crossed the line at 26:25.90 for 123^rd place.

Matt McWilliams (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) was the third Lions' runner to finish. McWilliams came in with a time of 26:41.60 for 147^th place. Jason Zabelsky (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) was just behind McWilliams with a 153^rd place finish. Zabelsky ran a time of 26:45.20. Tyler Yost (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) rounded out the top-five with a time of 27:13.0.

A total of 275 runners competed in the 8K race, with Behrend taking 23^rd place out of 32 teams.

The Lions will be back in action on October 27^th for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championship race. Start time is set for 11 a.m.
