Buffington Led The Way at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Oh. – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team took a 10th place finish out of 31 teams at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble 8k Saturday morning. They finished with a total score of 323.

Dylan Buffington (Brookville, PA/Brookville) led the way for the Lions with a time of 26:09.3, earning him 25th place finish overall. Zach Wortman (St. Mary's, PA/Elk County Catholic) crossed the line second for Behrend with a time of 26:18.3, resulting in a 31st place finish.

Jake Lehotsky (Erie, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) finished the race in the 62nd position. He crossed the finish line with a time of 26:53.7.

Ian Griffith (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) finished fourth in the Lions' scoring with an 87th place overall finish, running a time of 27:12.6. Closing Behrend's top five finished was Jarrod Lipsey (Kersey, PA/St. Mary's Area) in 122nd place. Lipsey finished with a final time of 27:42.1.

The Lions will travel to New York on October 28th to compete in the AMCC Championships. Start time is set for 11 a.m.
