Moravian Shuts Out Lions

CLERMONT, Fl.  – The Penn State Behrend softball team only played one game on Thursday due to rain and fell to Moravian 3-0 in non-conference action in Clermont, Florida.

The Greyhounds plated all three runs in sixth inning to sneak past the Lions (2-5). Moravian tallied six hits to Behrend's three. Ashley Gruber and Morgan Griffin each went 1-for-2 on the day. Gruber's hit was a double.

Chelsi Riordan went seven innings on the hill for the loss, striking out one.

Behrend will take on Lebanon Valley and John Carroll tomorrow for its final games on Spring Break. The first game is at 8:30 a.m.
