Softball Earns ECAC Tournament Bid

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend softball team received their eighth overall bid to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) DIII Softball Championships, announced on Monday afternoon.

The Lions are the fourth seed and will travel to Reading, Pennsylvania to play the fifth-seed Alvernia for a first-round game on Wednesday. Time is to be determined. If Behrend wins its first-round game, they will host the semifinals and finals beginning on Saturday.

Behrend returns to the ECAC Tournament for the first time since the 2014 season in search for its first title.
