GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend softball team split with Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action.

Game 1
* The Lions won game one against the Bobcats, 12-7
* Behrend took a one run first inning leads with a sacrifice fly from Maria Jones (Wilcox, PA/Johnsonburg) to send Marissa Torretti (DuBois, PA/DuBois) home
* Pitt-Greensburg answered and scored a run in the second
* The Lions secured a 3-1 lead in the third as Mackenzie McIntire (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview) singled through the left side to get two RBIs
* In the fourth, the Bobcats took a 6-3 lead but Behrend answered
* McIntire hit a homerun followed by hits from Lauren Olevnik (Waverly Township, PA/Abington Heights) and Ashleigh Schmidt (Sarver, PA/Freeport) to catch up, 5-6
* The Lions scored seven runs in the sixth inning to secure the 12-7 win
* Behrend had four hits by Torretti, Kylee Bundy (DuBois, PA/DuBois), Samantha Manioci (Rochester, NY/Odyssey Academy), and Olevnik
* Olevnik went 4-for-5 and had two RBIs
* Jones received the win on the mound, giving her a 1-0 record
Game 2
* Behrend fell to the Bobcats, 8-5 in game two
* The Lions fell behind quickly 8-0 after the first four innings
* Behrend made a comeback in the fifth inning, with five hits and four runs
* Bundy had a bunt, scoring a run with Torretti getting home
* McIntire blasted one, hitting a three-run homer to left field to score three
* The Lions scored one more run in the seventh, and unearned run off a Bobcat error
* Schmidt pitched four innings, striking out four batters
