ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend softball team welcomes Hiram for a non-conference doubleheader in their home opener on Sunday. The first pitch is slated for 1 p.m.

* The Lions are 6-6 on the young season entering the home doubleheader
* Behrend traveled to Mt. Union on Saturday, falling 10-1 and 3-2
* Jocelyn McNany (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) registered her third home run of the season in game one vs. the Purple Raiders
* McNany earned her 100th career hit on an RBI single in a 6-1 victory over Otterbein
* Last week, Maria Jones (Wilcox, PA/Johnsonburg) tallied 10 hits in seven games, smacking five doubles and a home run while driving in 11
* M. Jones tallied a pair of hits in four games and scored six runs total, as she hit .400 on the week while defensively turning two double plays and recording 13 putouts and 16 assists
* M. Jones is just two hits away from reaching 100 for her career
* Senior pitcher Kayla Lindberg (Austinburg, OH/Geneva) picked up a pair of wins last week in Florida
* Lindberg pitched 21.2 innings and struck out 15, she threw two complete games, striking out eight vs. Husson and two in the win over Otterbein

* Hiram fell 3-2 and 5-3 to the Titans
* Senior Angel Santellan was named NCAC Player of the Week for the first time in her four-year career
* Santellan batted .444 (12-27) with five doubles and eight RBIs over eight games during Spring Break
* She also has a 0.72 ERA over 9.2 innings for a 4-1 record this season
* Santellan leads the team with 16 hits and six doubles
