Women’s Basketball Picked Fourth in AMCC Preseason Poll

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team was picked to finish fourth in the AMCC preseason women's basketball coaches poll that was released Monday afternoon.

Penn State Behrend posted a record of 13-14, 10-8 AMCC last season and advanced to the AMCC Tournament Semifinal.

Head coach Christine VanHook enters her fifth season at the helm of the women's basketball program at PSB.

Returners Ally Dillman (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Kourtney Beamesderfer (Rebersburg, PA/Penns Valley) will lead a young Behrend Lion team this season.

Dillman averaged 7.5 points per game last season.  She also added 3.4 rebounds per game.  Last season Dillman totaled 164 points, 75 rebounds, and 22 steals in 22 games.

Beamesderfer started all 27 games as a freshman and averaged 7.3 ppg and 4.1 rpg.  She also added 1.6 assists per contest.  In 2017-18 Beamesderfer totaled 196 points and 110 rebounds.

Penn State Behrend will open the season on November 16 against Fredonia in the Behrend Tip-Off Tournament.
