ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team took runner up at their Tip-Off Tournament, falling by four points to Carnegie Mellon 68-64 in the championship game on Saturday afternoon.

Noteworthy:

* Sophomore Rachel Majewski (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) was named to the All-Tournament Team averaging 24.0 points per game over the weekend, scoring a career-high 25 points in the first round

Key Moments:

* The Tartans held a three-point lead at halftime and used a 7-0 run to start the third to push the lead to double-digits at 39-29
* Down by 13, the Behrend Lions fought back to make it a two-point game at 66-64 with 38 seconds left to play
* The Lions had one more shot before time expired, but also gave up a foul to send Carnegie Mellon to the line right before the buzzer for the four-point final
* Majewski led all scorers with 23 points while Madilyn Boyer (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) added 12 points
* Brianna Dean (New Castle, PA/Neshannock) added 10 points with a team-high five rebounds and three assists
* Behrend shot 88.2 percent from the free-throw line, making 15 of 17
