Wrestlers Head to NCAA Regionals at Messiah

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend wrestling team travels to Grantham, PA to Messiah College to participate in the 2020 NCAA Southeast Regional, a two-day NCAA Championships qualifier at the Hitchcock Arena. Preliminary matches begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, while the championship rounds kick off at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

* The Lions will have five wrestlers competing this weekend at a chance to advance to the NCAA Championships
* Junior Brandon Miller (Hermitage, PA/Hickory) is making his second appearance at Regionals
* His freshman year, Miller posted an 0-2 record at Regionals at the 149 weight class
* Miller is set to compete at the 174 weight class
* Sophomore Cole Ruffo (Mercer, PA/Hickory) wrestling at 149 last season, going 0-2, and will be competing at the
157 weight class this year
* Freshmen William Brown (Burgettstown, PA/Burgettstown), Brian Himes (Brookville, PA/Brookville) and Joshua
McCall (Erie, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) are making their first trip to Regionals
* Brown will wrestle at 149, McCall at 165 and Himes at 184
