GIBSONIA, Pa. – Julia Schroeck, a member of the Penn State Behrend women’s soccer team, was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Offensive Player of the Week for the week Aug. 30-Sept. 5.
Schroeck, a sophomore forward, had a hand in at least one goal in the first three games for the Lions (2-1). In the season opener against Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday, she had the assist on the game winner. This weekend in the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament, she scored the first two goals against Hiram, before netting the lone goal against Baldwin-Wallace.
Behrend returns to action on Friday against Rochester in the SUNY Fredonia Classic. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
