Lions Cap Off Unbeaten AMCC Season With 6-0 Victory Over Hilbert

ERIE, Pa. -- Sam Pace (Erie, PA/Ft. LeBoeuf) and Rachel Oelbracht (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown) scored two goals each and Allyson Lonas (Johnstown, PA/Conemaugh Township) added two assists to lead the Penn State Behrend women's soccer team past Hilbert 6-0 on Tuesday night at the Behrend field.

Behrend (13-5-1, 9-0 AMCC) dominated both halves of play, outshooting the Hawks 35-5.

Pace opened the scoring with 38:53 remaining in the first half with a shot from just inside the box. Then Shelby Lloyd (Beaver, PA/Beaver Area) joined in the festivities, scoring unassisted following a corner kick to make it 2-0.

At the 31:54 mark of the first half, Leah Morra (Pittsburgh, PA/North Hills) booted in a long ball from the top of the box off of a Courtney Edwards(Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) pass to make it 3-0 at the break.

Despite the three goal halftime edge, the Lions did not relent.

Lonas and Abbie Schuster (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) found Pace who headed the ball beautifully into the net at the 61:47 mark to make the score 4-nil.

Oelbracht then scored her first two goals of the season less than 10 minutes apart to put the game at 6-0, which is the way it would stay.

Taylor Troyan (Butler, PA/Butler) and Christina Winarski (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) combined for Behrend's 8^th shutout of the season. The Lions finished the month of October having only allowed one goal in conference play.

The 2013 season marks the 10^th time in program history that the Lions have finished an undefeated conference campaign.

Beherend will host an AMCC Tournament semifinal game on Wednesday, November 6 against an opponent yet to be determined.
