Oberlander Strikes Again; Lions Defeat Mt. Aloysius

ERIE, Pa. – For the second straight game, Jordan Oberlander (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) tallied three goals to lead the Penn State Behrend women's soccer team to a 3-0 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) victory, this time over Mt. Aloysius on Saturday.

Oberlander, who ranks fourth in NCAA statistics in total goals, added three more to make it 17 on the season and help the Lions (7-4, 3-0 AMCC) earn their third straight conference win without giving up a goal.

Amanda Donohue (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) tallied two assists and Olivia Belack (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) added another for Behrend.

Oberlander tallied two goals in the first half and another in the third. Donohue fed Oberlander the ball in the 23rd minute for a 1-0 lead. At the 41:18 mark, Belack send a cross in and the senior forward turned and took the shot that made it in the goal for a 2-0 lead right before halftime.

Donohue connected with Oberlander again in the 59th minute for a comfortable lead with nearly 30 minutes to play.

Ania Gorski (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) made five saves in 90 minutes of work for her seventh win in between the pipes.

The Lions return to action on Tuesday at Houghton. Game time is 7 p.m.
