Oberlander Named ECAC Offensive Player of the Year; Weyand Earns All-Star Nod

ERIE, Pa. – Senior forward Jordan Oberlander (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) has been named the 2017 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year, while senior defender Rachel Weyand (Butler, PA/Butler) was named to the All-Star Team.

Oberlander and Weyand were selected to the first team to represent the Lions. Weyand, the 2016 ECAC Defensive Player of the Year, was chosen to the All-Star for the second straight season and Oberlander is earning the honor for the first time.

Oberlander adds another Player of the Year honor to her storied senior year. She was also Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Offensive Player of the Year and was a first-team honoree for recording 30 goals, six assists for 66 points. Oberlander led the nation at one point in the season in total goals and points, finishing third overall. She registered 11 multiple-goal games and set new program records for single-season goals and points.

Weyand receives ECAC honors once again after earning back-to-back AMCC Defensive Player of the Year accolades for her career. This season, she helped the Lions defense only give up three goals in nine conference games and 23 overall for a 1.07 goals-against average. Weyand also aided in eight shutouts and added three assists.
