Oberlander, Belack Earn Scholar All-Region Honors

ERIE, Pa. – Senior women's soccer forward Jordan Oberlander (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) and senior midfielder Olivia Belack (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) have been named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Scholar All-East Region Team.

Oberlander was selected to the first team and Belack earned second-team honors to repeat on the All-Region Team. Oberlander will move on to the All-American ballot.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) throughout his or her career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team; be nominated by an institution that is a current United Soccer Coaches member and be a junior or above in academic standing at the current institution. The committee then reviews both the academic and athletic accomplishments of the nominees in determining the honorees.

Oberlander is majoring in mechanical engineering and has a 3.56 GPA through six semesters. In addition to All-Region honors, she was ECAC Offensive Player of the Year, First-Team ECAC All-Star, First Team All-AMCC and AMCC Offensive Player of the Year. Oberlander started in every game this season, leading the team, conference and ranking third in nation with 30 goals and six assists for 66 points. She finished her career with 86 career starts, 59 goals and 25 assists for 143 points. In addition to her on-field performance, she is also a three-time Academic All-AMCC selection.

Belack is majoring in finance and has a 3.59 GPA through six semesters. She was selected to the All-Region first team a year ago to then go on and earn Scholar All-American accolades. Belack started in all but one game, scoring 10 goals and dishing out eight assists for 28 points. She finishes her career with 57 goals and 39 assists for 153 points. Her 39 assists is a program record.
