Women’s Soccer Tops Franciscan 3-0 Saturday

BETHANY, WV – After numerous weather delays and a change in locations, the Penn State Behrend women's soccer team was able to defeat Franciscan University 3-0 on Saturday.

Today's match, originally scheduled for 1 p.m. in Steubenville, Ohio, was delayed on numerous times due to weather.  The game was also moved from Steubenville to nearby Bethany College West Virginia. 

Final Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Franciscan 0

Records: Penn State Behrend (6-6, 4-0 AMCC), Franciscan (4-7, 3-1 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* Despite the lengthy delays, PSB remained unbeaten in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play.
* Lexie Frank (Harrisburg, PA/Blackhawk) put Penn State Behrend ahead in the 39th minute with her first goal of the season.
* Following halftime, Brenna McGuire (McDonald, PA/South Fayette) scored her league-leading 10th goal of the season.
* Emily Indof (Greensburg, PA/Greensburg) rounded out the PSB scoring with her ninth goal of 2018 in the 56th minute. Indof also added an assist on the day.
* Catherine Eichenlaub (Wexford, PA/Pine-Richland) both tallied assists on the day.
* The Behrend Lions outshout the Barons 17-0.

* Penn State Behrend will return home on Tuesday, October 9 to host Pitt-Bradford.  Kickoff from the PSB Soccer Stadium is set for 5 p.m.
