ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team earned its first ranking in this week's United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region rankings. The Lions came in at No. 9 in the Great Lakes Region as announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday.
Overall, Penn State Behrend stands 11-6 overall along with an unblemished 9-0 record in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). Behrend is riding a six-game winning streak heading into the AMCC Tournament this week, last falling to No. 12 Carnegie Mellon 1-0 on October 2.
The Lions earned the No. 1 seed in the AMCC Tournament and will host No. 5 Penn State Altoona on Wednesday at 5 p.m. The winner will advance to the championship game on Saturday at 1 p.m.
