ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2019 season. The Lions will kick off the campaign on Friday, August 30 with the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament at home against Nazareth. The Lions will face the Golden Flyers for the fourth time in program history. The two teams have not met since the 2000 season. The tournament also features Baldwin Wallace and Kenyon.
On Tuesday, September 6, Behrend will travel to Grove City, Case Western, and Mt. Union before returning home to take on Washington & Jefferson. The Lions will play 10 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) game along with two non-conference games to finish out the regular season.
Behrend returns 23 players from a team that went 13-7 in 2018, captured its eighth straight AMCC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
