Title: Assistant Coach

Kodie Johnson begins her first season at Penn State Behrend as an assistant women's soccer coach, after spending last season at Alabama State women's soccer program. 

Prior to Behrend, Johnson spent the last season with Alabama State women's soccer program. She also worked for Last Defense Goalkeeping Academy under Ron Apollon and trained and developed goalkeepers for club NASA TopHat in Atlanta.

Johnson has an extensive playing career, spending two seasons with Ottawa University (2016-18). As the goalkeeper for the Braves, she helped team to back-to-back NAIA Sweet 16 National Championship Tournament appearances.

During the 2017 season, Johnson earned Defensive Player of the Week with 13 saves and one shutout. The Braves were nationally-ranked 16th in the nation in 2017 and 17th in the nation in 2016.

Johnson graduated in 2018 from Ottawa (Kan.) University with a bachelor's in exercise science. She later earned her master's in 2021 in sports administration from Georgia State University. While earning her master's, she served as a graduate assistant at Agnes Scott College.

While at Agnes Scott, Johnson oversaw goalkeeper development and assisted the head coach.
