St. Vincent Defeats Women's Swimming and Diving
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving fell 156-88 to St. Vincent in non-conference action on Saturday in the Junker Center. 
 
Maryn Horn (Houston, TX/Jersey Village) won three events for the Lions on the day. She won the 100 backstroke in 1:05.16 and the 100 freestyle (57.80), while swimming a leg on the winning 200 freestyle relay along with Jessica Wyckoff (Elma, NY/Iroquois), Paige Lorson (Jersey Shore, PA/Jersey Shore) and Gwendolyn Lowery (Bellefonte, PA/Bellefonte). The foursome won in 1:49.17. 
 
Horn was also on the runner-up 200 medley relay team consisting of Abigail Witmer (Herndon, VA/Herndon), Paola Maldonado (San Juan, Puerto Rico) and Wyckoff for a time of 2:00.37. 
 
Lowery won the 400 IM in 4:57.50 and was also two seconds shy of winning the 200 freestyle (2:03.86), coming in third. In the 200 backstroke, Witmer was .79 seconds away from taking first place. She touched in 2:20.83. 
 
In the 50 free, Maldonado was first on the team and third overall with a time of 26.14. Wyckoff took fourth in 26.20. 
 
Behrend returns to action on Wednesday, February 14 at the AMCC Championships.
