ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team won 10 out of 16 events but fell short in a close 153-139 loss to Alfred State in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Saturday.

* The team of Abigail Witmer (Herndon, VA/Herndon), Barbie Cessar (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock), Valerie Grimes (Farmington, PA/Uniontown) and Jessica Wyckoff (Elma, NY/Iroquois) won the opening 200 medley relay (2:01.75)
* Marcella Puglia (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) and Cessar led the Lions with three individual first-place finishes apiece, while Cessar and Witmer each had two individual wins and a relay victory
