Behrend Drops First Match of Season

MEADVILLE, Pa.  – The Allegheny women's tennis team handed Behrend its first loss of the season, posting a 9-0 victory on Saturday afternoon.

Playing indoors due to the rain, the Gators won all six singles matches in straight sets and swept the doubles competition, only dropping four game points total.

The closest match was played at No. 2 singles. Leslie Durante (Fairview, PA/Fairview) fell 6-1 and 7-5 against Deb Landau.

The Lions (3-1) return to action on Wednesday against Pitt-Bradford.  Game time is 4 p.m.
