Franciscan Blanks Women's Tennis

ERIE, PA – The Penn State Behrend women's tennis team dropped their second Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) match, falling 9-0 to Franciscan on Friday night.

The defending AMCC Champions played like it tonight at Westwood Racquet Club, winning all three doubles match and then six singles to remain undefeated in conference play.

The Barons (8-4, 6-0 AMCC) won 8-4, 8-4 and 8-0 and No. 1, 2, and 3 doubles, respectively.

At No. 2 singles, Kelly Miller (Louisville, OH/Louisville) won the first set 6-4 and then fell 6-4, and 10-7 in a tiebreaker.

The Lions (5-4, 5-2 AMCC) return to action tomorrow against Pitt-Greensburg. Match time is 3 p.m.
