Four Named to All-AMCC Women's Tennis Team; Barger Tabs Co-Coach of the Year

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's tennis team had four players named to the 2021 All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Team and Jeff Barger was voted Co-Coach of the Year, announced on Thursday.

Audra Carnes (Fairview, PA/Fairview) landed on the first team at No. 4 singles and No. 1 doubles with teammate Erica Jasinski (Fairview, PA/Fairview). Jasinski was also chosen to the second team at No. 1 singles. Jada Donatien (Brooklyn, NY/Millburn) was named to the second team at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles with Marissa Bowles (Springfield, NJ/Columbia).

Carnes led the Lions and the AMCC with an unblemished 5-0 at No. 4 singles. The sophomore did not give up a single set point in four of the five conference matches. Carnes is 9-1 in singles action overall, recording a victory at the No. 3 spot. She also earned First-Team honors at No. 1 doubles with Jasinski. The duo had a perfect 5-0 AMCC record and finished 7-3 overall.

Jasinski led the Lions at No. 1 singles for the season, posting a 10-1 overall record and a 5-1 mark in the conference to be named to the second team. She won the last seven matches and was named to the AMCC All-Tournament Team. Donatien was a two-time Second-Team choice for Behrend. She was voted at No. 3 singles for her 5-1 conference record. The senior also teamed up with Bowles at No. 2 doubles, recording a 4-1 AMCC mark for Second-Team honors.
