Women's Tennis Ready For a Pair of Matches This Weekend

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's tennis team has a pair of matches this weekend. The Lions will travel to Alfred today before returning home to face Penn State Altoona at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

* The Lions got their first win of the season on Wednesday, defeating Thiel 6-3
Rachel Fleming (Saint Marys, PA/Saint Marys) and Keri Saulino (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) were double winners for the Lions
* The duo tallied their first doubles win of the season with a close 8-6 decision at No. 2
* Saulino won in a tiebreaker at No. 5 singles (3-6, 6-1, 11-9)
* Jayna Baer (Pittsburgh, PA/Moon) and Fleming collected their second singles victories vs. the Tomcats 
* Baer was a winner at No. 3 singles (6-4, 6-4) while Fleming claimed a 6-2, 6-2 decision at No. 4 singles
* Erica Jasinski (Fairview, PA/Fairview) improved her team-leading singles wins to 3-1 with a 6-0, 6-4 win at the No. 1 spot
Rachel Weber (Allison Park, PA/Freedom) was victorious at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 decision
