LA CROSSE, WI – Penn State Behrend track & field junior Haley Yenchik (Cecil, PA/Canon McMillan) and senior Rachel Pell (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) competed at the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse on Thursday afternoon.
Yenchik, who was seeded 19th coming into the competition, hit the height of 3.50m on her first attempt and then could not clear 3.65m on her next three tries to place 18th overall (11-05.75).
Pell was set to compete in the preliminaries of the 400m hurdles entering as the 16th seed, but did not finish the race due to a hamstring injury.
