ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's track & field program will start the outdoor season at California University of PA on Saturday.

* The Lions begin their outdoor season at the Cal U Early Bird Invitational on Saturday
* Haley Yenchik (Cecil, PA/Canon McMillan) was named NCAA Division III All-Region for the indoor season in the women's pole vault
* At the All-Atlantic Indoor Track and Field Championships, Behrend had six women athletes compete in 10 events
* Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin Area), Gabriella Loeffler (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin), Jenna Shelton (Cabot, PA/Knoch), and Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) finished sixth in the women's DMR with a school record breaking time of 12:34.17
* Yenchik finished 16th in the women's long jump with a leap of 5.27m rebreaking her own school record
* Riley Crissman (Bradford, PA/Bradford Area) finished 11th in the 3000m run with a school record-breaking time of 10:27.73
* Crissman also placed eighth in the 5000m run while breaking a school record (18:14.12)
