Women's Track Competes at Carnegie Mellon

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's track & field team competed in a quad meet on Saturday at Carnegie Mellon.

Key Moments:

* The Lions finished third in the meet with 111 points
* Emily Mischen (Gibsonia, PA/Deer Lakes) won the shot put event with a throw of 10.80m
* Mischen also finished second in the hammer throw (35.45m)
* Jenna Shelton came in first in the 800m run, finishing in 2:22.95
* Riley Crissman won the women's 3000m run with a time of 10:21.75
* Caroline Upman (Erie, PA/Iroquois) finished second in the women's high jump with a leap of 1.42m
* Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) took third in the 1500m run, running a 4:58.02
* In the 400m run, Gabriella Loeffler (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) finished second with a time of 1:01.94
* Haley Yenchik came third in the pole vault (3.43m)
* Loeffler, Yenchik, Shelton, and Suraihyah Sule (Snellville, GA) took second in the women's 4x400m
