ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's track & field program will travel to Slippery Rock, PA on Thursday to compete in the SRU Open.

* Freshman Emily Mischen (Gibsonia, PA/Deer Lakes) competed in the shot put, throwing a 11.11m toss to finish with ninth place
* This throw broke the oldest track and field record in Penn State Behrend history
* Mischen was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week for her performance
* Mischen is now ranked first in the CSAC in the women's shot put
* In the women's 5000m, Riley Crissman (Bradford, PA/Bradford Area) took home second place with a time of 18:27.11
* Crissman ran a personal-best time and was named the CSAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week
* Crissman is ranked first in the 5,000m and 10,000m runs in the CSAC
