SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's track & field team competed in the SRU Open on Thursday at Slippery Rock.
Key Moments:
* Senior Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) won the women's 3000m steeplechase, running a 11:42.19
* Jenna Shelton (Cabot, PA/Knoch) took home gold in the 800m run, finishing with a time of 2:21.40
* Gabriella Loeffler (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) finished third in the 200m dash (26.88) along with fifth in the 100m dash (12.89)
* In the women's pole vault, Haley Yenchik (Cecil, PA/Canon McMillan) took third with a leap of 3.53m
* Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin Area) tallied second place in the 500m run with a time of 19:39.09
