ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's track & field team competed in the Houghton December Classic on Friday evening.
Key Moments:
* Jenna Shelton (Cabot, PA/Knoch) and Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin Area) finished first and second, respectively in the mile, qualifying for the AARTFC meet
* Gabriella Loeffler (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) and Shelton beat the 300m run school record with Loeffler running a time of 42.49
* Loeffler also took home silver in the 60m dash, running an 8.15
* Shelton, Loeffler, and Suraihyah Sule (Snellville, GA/Shiloh) took second, third, and fourth respectively in the women's 300m run
* Freshman Myeisha Sanders (Erie, PA/East) tallied a fifth place finish in the weight throw with a toss of 13.14
