Women's Track and Field Back in Action On Saturday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's track team is back in action for the first time since the holiday break as they travel to Houghton for the Highlander Invitational on Saturday.

Behrend News & Notes:
* This is the third meet of the year for the Lions and their first since December 10
* Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) took first in the one mile at the first two invitationals with her best time being 5:31.73
* In the season opener, four from Behrend finished in the Top-10 in the 800m run
* Emily Ferrans (Bradfordwoods, PA/North Allegheny) finished in fifth (2:37.43), Izzy Spires (Wattsburg, PA/Seneca) in seventh (2:47.02), Haley Felton (Midway, PA/Forth Cherry) in eighth (2:56.78) and Nikki Orton (Corry, PA/Corry Area) in 10th (3:02.48)
* Madison Kappeler finished in fifth place in the pole vault during the Nazareth Alumni Opener, having a final mark of 3.07m
* Maria Campbell (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) took home sixth in the same event with a vault of 2.70m
