Women's Track and Field Resumes Action With Multiple Career Highs

HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Penn State Behrend women's track and field team resumed play at the Highlander Invitational hosted by Houghton College on Saturday.

Key Moments:
* Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) finished in third place in the pole vault with a final mark of 2.90m
* Kappeler also set a new career-best in the 200m dash with a time of 29.66
* Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) and Rachel Buhl joined Kappeler in setting personal bests in the 200m with times of 28.43 and 33.66, respectively
* Emily Ferrans (Bradfordwoods, PA/North Allegheny) paced the Lions in the 3K, setting a new personal record, finishing in 11:59.21
* Laffan claimed sixth place in the 400m as Victoria Dietrich (Oakmont, PA/Riverview) finished in ninth with a PR of 1:08.29
* Brianna Downing (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) and Haley Felton (Midway, PA/Fort Cherry) each had career days in shot put, finishing with marks of 8.03m and 7.67
