Upham and Laffan Log AARTFC-Qualifying Marks During Behrend Invitational

ERIE, Pa. – Caroline Upham (Erie, PA/Iroquois) qualified for the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Conference Championships with a first-place mark of 1.55m in the high jump as the Penn State Behrend women's track and field team hosted the Behrend Invitational.

Noteworthy:

* Upham took gold in the high jump, missing her personal record by .01m
* Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) finished first in both the 800m and the 1500m
* Nola clocked in at 2:26.58 in the 800m and 5:04.87 in the 1500m, pacing all others in both
* Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) also qualified for the AARTFC meet, finishing in 59.79 in the 400m
* Laffan logged her second first-place finish in the 200m, crossing at 26.58
* Nola, Laffan, Emily Ferrans (Bradfordwoods, PA/North Allegheny) and Savannah Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin) helped the Lions take first in the 4x800m relay with a time of 10:35.32
* Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) grabbed gold in the pole vault with a mark of 2.90m
* Kappeler set a new personal benchmark in the high jump with 4.78m leap
