Women's Track and Field Competes in Ashland Alumni Open

ASHLAND, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend women's track and field team took part in the Ashland Alumni Open on Saturday, hosted by Ashland University.

Noteworthy:

* Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) logged the highest finish for the Lions, clinching eighth in the 400m at 1:00.86
* Laffan also finished in 17th out of 50 in the 200m (27.35)
* Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) saw a finish for 19th in the 1500m, crossing at 5:07.36
* Megan Swanter (Saxonburg, pa/Knoch) came in 11th in the 5k at 21:42.26
* Emily Ferrans (Bradfordwoods, PA/North Allegheny) paced the Lions in the 800m crossing in 2:33.18
* Shannon Burns (Jefferson, OH/Jefferson) saw a final mark in the high jump at 1.35
