Women's Volleyball Picked Fourth in AMCC Preseason Poll

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team and reigning Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Champions were picked to finish fourth in the 2018 Preseason Coaches Poll.

The Lions won their fourth AMCC Championship last season and made their third NCAA appearance. Behrend finished the season with a 19-12 overall record. The Lions led the league with 11.14 kills, 10.13 assists and 2.14 service aces per game, while ranking second in blocks per game (1.43).

Penn State Altoona and Pitt-Bradford are tied for the top spot in the poll, while La Roche was selected to finish third. The Panthers and Altoona tied for first place in the AMCC during the regular season, while the Redhawks fell to the Lions in the AMCC Championship match.
