Behrend Volleyball Heads to Alfred State Wednesday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team travels to Alfred, NY to take on the Alfred State Pioneers in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Wednesday night. Match begins at 7 p.m.

* The Behrend Lions secured the No. 1 seed for the AMCC Tournament and the regular-season championship with a 3-0 win over Mt. Aloysius on Saturday
* The Lions will receive a first-round bye and host the semifinals and finals on Nov. 9-10 in the Junker Center
* Madison Clapper (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) averaged 6.33 digs per set in a pair of AMCC wins last week
* Clapper recorded 24 digs against Pitt-Bradford and 14 in a straight-set win against Mt. Aloysius
* Kristin Reiland (Fairview, PA/Villa Maria Academy) registered two double-doubles last week, recently posted 12 kills and 11 digs on Saturday vs. the Mounties
* Behrend continues to lead the AMCC in points per set with 15.1 and in services aces per set (2.53)

Alfred State News & Notes:

* The Pioneers moved to 9-11 on the season after a 3-1 loss to Altoona on Saturday
* Alfred State is ninth in the conference standings with a 3-6 mark
* Outside hitter Alyssa Fox recorded double-digits in kills in both of the Pioneers matches last week
* Fox tallied 15 kills at D'Youville (.462 hitting percentage) and then posted a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs in a four-set loss to the Altoona Lions
