Behrend Volleyball Faces No. 4 Altoona in AMCC Semifinals Saturday

ERIE, Pa. – The No. 1 Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team will host No. 4 Penn State Altoona in the semifinals of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Junker Center.

* The Lions have advanced to the AMCC Tournament every year except one (2016) since the inception of the conference in 1997
* Behrend is looking to take back the title they last won in 2017

* Penn State Altoona defeated No. 5 Franciscan 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, and 25-16) in the first round of the AMCC Tournament on Wednesday to advance to the semifinals
* Altoona is looking to capture its third AMCC title and first since 2011
* The Altoona Lions enter the weekend with a 12-11 overall record
* Behrend and Altoona last met on Sept. 28 in an AMCC quad match at the Junker Center
* Altoona fell to the Behrend Lions, 3-1 (25-21, 27-25, 31-29, 28-26)
