Altoona Women's Volleyball Defeats Behrend Lions

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's volleyball team posted a 3-0 win over Penn State Behrend in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Saturday afternoon.

Final Score: Altoona 3, Behrend 0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-17)
Records: Penn State Behrend (14-5, 3-1 AMCC), Penn State Altoona (8-9, 3-0 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* The Altoona Lions keeps their undefeated conference mark intact with a three-set win
* It marked the first time Behrend lost the first set in conference play
* Altoona posted 11 total team blocks (12 assist, five solo) and held an advantage in digs (70-59)
* Hannah Phillips (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) led with 14 digs and 11 kills
* Meg Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) handed out 31 assists on 34 team kills and added eight digs
* Breana Reynolds (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) had seven kills and  Sara Novak (Lower Burrell, PA/Burrell) contributed six kills
* There was 12 ties in the first set, knotted at 14-all before Altoona took the lead for good winning the final 11 out of 15 points

* The Altoona Lions rallied back from a 4-1 deificit and then closed out the third set similar to the first by winning the final 11 out of 14 points
