Behrend Women's Volleyball Hosts Invitational This Weekend

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team will host six teams in the 2024 Behrend Invitational at the Junker Center on Friday and Saturday, September 6 and 7. The Lions will face Geneva in their home opener today at 3 p.m.

* Behrend fell to Hiram, St. Mary's, Anderson and Monmouth (3-0)
* Libero Sarah Nobach (Athens, MI/Athens) had double-digit digs in three of the four matches, recording a season-best 17 vs. the Terriers
* After four matches to start the season, the Lions rank first in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) in total blocks with 25
* Sophia Fuller (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) leads the team with 10 blocks
* Cadence Jones (North East, PA/North East) has a team-best 30 kills on the early season, while adding 12 digs, eight blocks, three assists and one service ace
